Montessori AMI teacher 2,5-6

Dear Madam, Sir,

I am a dedicated Montessori educator for children aged 2,5 to 6 (AMI) and a French teacher for primary and secondary school (bachelor), with a Master in sociology of education in France and teaching experience. I’m also a teacher’s trainer in method Gordon (a model that eliminates authoritarian teaching and punitive discipline in the classroom).

I am currently employed as an co-guide at Learning Steps Montessori International preschool in Athens, Greece, where I am responsible for an international English Greek speaking class of 36 children, their daily activities (indoor and outdoor), the presentations and the creation of educational material, for the smooth emotional and mental development of each child as well as their physical safety. I had the opportunity to collaborate with the most experienced Montessori teachers in Greece, which helped me to evolve faster.

I also run my own English and French Montessori playgroup in Saturdays, I prepare my first book about Montessori for parents and I collaborate with the first Montessori training center in Luxembourg and with the first Montessori school in Coimbra Portugal, as a volunteer.

I am participating in a management course and I will take a “better Montessori observer” course in a few days. I am also interested in psychology studies.

As for my English language skills, I have already started a  course in order to achieve fluency level.

During my teaching experience, I have developed strong skills in observing and reporting on child development and conduct, and developing solid rapport with children, families and staff.

Due to my previous experience in business (organization of cultural events, partnership in pharmacy store and trade of organic products) I have developed strong organizational skills and creativity in finding solutions. I am also loyal, responsible and I respect my commitments.

I am also open minded and a team player. My moto is “continuous evolution”. I believe that the key factor in a team work is to bring out the strengths of every person while you improve your weaknesses.

The Montessori approach, for me it is a way of life. I think that it is indispensable in bringing out any child’s full potential, and that all children should have access to quality learning and care. Although it is about a very demanding job, it is exactly that leads me to become better every day as a teacher and as a person in general, and offers me the great satisfaction to see little children finding their way to development. I feel like participating in a major and global goal, to create a better and more human society.

Also, I’m a mother of a 6,5 years old girl and I love meet new places and people from different cultures.

My CV is attached and I look forward to being able to discuss with you further.

Yours sincerely
Eleni Papadopoulou
