About Sugar Creek Montessori School ("SCMS"): SCMS was first founded in 1994 and is a development of American Montessori Schools (founded in Houston in 1986). Sugar Creek Montessori practices authentic Montessori principles and is characterized by its AMS or AMI credentialed teachers, large classrooms with full sets of Montessori materials, low child to teacher ratios, focus on individualized learning, whole child development and experienced and mature staff. SCMS has educated thousands of students over the 22 years it has been in operation.
