Mountaintop Montessori

Mountaintop serves approximately 200 students from age 18 months to eighth grade and is situated on nearly 10 acres of land with classrooms and adjacent gardens for outdoor learning. The campus includes a geodesic ecology dome, aquaculture facilities, extensive schoolyard garden, and chicken coop, gym, art studio, music/movement studio, media/tech center, science lab, ecology space, two kitchens for garden-to-table meal preparation, and outdoor play spaces and fields. Mountaintop enjoys the advantages offered by the rich history and robust culture in Charlottesville, as well as a stunning natural location near the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park. The area is renowned for its local food movement, performing and visual arts scenes, and a healthy standard of living.
