Khom Loy Montessori

Khom Loy is a Thai Foundation based in Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand. Since 2004 it has been running an education project to convert rural preschool (aged 4-6) rooms into child-centred learning centres based on a simplified version of the Montessori teaching method, using a selection of the standard Montessori equipment. Because of the limitations of our environment and the limited final education level of the school staff we work with, we have considerably simplified the teacher training process.
