Del Mar Academy

Del Mar Academy is an independent, nonsectarian, co-educational day school with a culturally and economically diverse student population. At present, Del Mar serves families with children as young as 18 months and up to 11th grade.

Del Mar Academy is committed to academic excellence, bilingualism, environmental education, creativity, ethics, leadership, the joy of learning, and love for life. Our education fosters both independence and a sense of belonging to and responsibility toward a larger community, so that our students come to believe in their power to make positive changes.

At the base of our educational approach are the philosophy and principles of Maria Montessori.   At the same time, the school offers a highly innovative, bilingual English/Spanish immersion program stemming from current educational research.

We view each child as unique and are dedicated to reaching each child according to his or her development and potential.
