Upper elementary teacher

We are looking for a new Upper Elementary teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. We have a mixed age classroom for 9- to 12-year-olds, a fourth to sixth grade class, with approximately 15-20 students.

A Montessori diploma or teaching experience in a Montessori school is desired but we are open to an experienced teacher in these grade levels who has taught in other types of programs.

Duties include overseeing all the aspects of this classroom, implementing curriculum in all areas, supporting the students social and emotional development, working closely with a long-time, experienced support teacher, communicating effectively and clearly with other teachers and parents and willingness to be part of this close-knit community. A willingness to learn about Montessori theory and materials is important!

Our school year runs from mid-August though the beginning of June. Compensation aligned with teaching experience and Montessori education.
