Description
Founded in 2018, Hamilton Montessori School in Novato, CA is seeking a professional and dedicated full-time, year-round, Toddler teacher for an immediate start at our beautiful Bay Area campus.
Hamilton Montessori School is an authentic Montessori school with a rich history of Montessori excellence. Dedicated to offering a nurturing, child-centered environment that supports each child’s natural independence, curiosity, and joy in learning, we are particularly proud of our intentionally loving environment, our age-appropriate social justice curriculum, and our award-winning leadership. Our small class sizes, low student-teacher ratios, and Montessori curriculum and materials provide a thoughtfully-prepared Montessori environment.
This role requires an understanding of Montessori philosophy, a passion for supporting children's development, and the ability to create a calm, respectful, and engaging classroom experience for the children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, prepare, and maintain a beautiful, orderly, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment.
- Plan and implement Montessori lessons and observe individual children to support their growth and independence.
- Foster strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all children in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and communicate regularly with families.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold a positive, professional, and supportive school culture.
- Follow all licensing, safety, and school policies.
