Montessori Directress

Frederick Country Day Montessori School, an accredited school is seeking Montessori Directress candidates for the Fall 2023-2024 school year.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree and an AMI/AMS/MACTE accredited Primary Montessori certificates.  An ideal candidate possesses the persona espoused by Dr. Maria Montessori in her teachings of the Montessori philosophy.  They must show a calm demeanor, patience, and willingness to learn.

1) At least a Bachelor's degree or academic certificates that are evaluated to the
USA Standard of a Bachelor's degree.
2) AMI/AMS/MACTE Primary Montessori certificate
3) At least 2 years experience teaching children ages 2 1/2 - 6

You will lead a primary classroom of 28 children for the calendar year with an assistant following the Montessori curriculum that is created for the school. You will also prepare lesson plans and materials according to the monthly themes. You will be the keeper of a beautifully equipped Primary environment.

Parent Teacher Conferences are essential in addition to Parent Education Nights. You will also be required to attend Open House and Community events in line with the Montessori giving to the community philosophy.

2) Calm and patient with children and team of staff
3) Prepared with lesson plans according to the theme
