Montessori School at Emory is currently accepting applications from experienced Montessori teachers to join our Middle School team beginning August 2026. This is a full
time position. The ideal candidate has 3+ years’ teaching experience, possesses
good organization and communication skills, and has a love and appreciation for working with
adolescents. Montessori credentials at the Adolescent level preferred, but diploma holders at
other levels are encouraged to apply.
We are an established AMI accredited Montessori school near beautiful downtown Decatur,
Georgia, just outside of Atlanta city limits. Our classrooms are generously equipped, and our
central location affords many cultural, outdoor, and historic opportunities. The school serves
children from 15 months to 14 years, and our guides and Montessori-trained administrators
share a deep appreciation for the ideals of Montessori pedagogy in service of the whole child.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has 3+ years’ teaching experience, possesses

Responsibilities

Oversee a small AMI adolescent program and teach two - three subject areas. Work with a part time colleague to manage day to day, parent education, and the micro-economy. Participate in weekly faculty meetings and annual school events.
