Job Overview:
The Montessori Teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development of children. The teacher will use Montessori principles and methods to guide children in their learning journey, fostering independence, creativity, and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Classroom Management:**
- Prepare and maintain a well-organized, clean, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Ensure all materials and resources are readily available and in good condition.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and safe atmosphere where every child feels valued.

2. **Instructional Duties:**
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with Montessori principles and cater to the individual needs of each child.
- Guide children in self-directed learning activities, allowing them to learn at their own pace.
- Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction as needed.

3. **Child Development:**
- Encourage the development of independence, self-esteem, and respect for others.
- Support children in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and social skills.
- Address and support the emotional and social needs of each child.

4. **Parent Communication:**
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and development.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss children’s growth and any concerns.
- Provide guidance to parents on how to support their child’s learning at home.

5. **Professional Development:**
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with Montessori practices and early childhood education.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas, strategies, and resources.

6. **Administrative Tasks:**
- Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
- Ensure compliance with all school policies and procedures.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and activities as required.

- Montessori Certification from a recognized training program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience working with children in a Montessori setting (preferred).
- Strong understanding of child development and Montessori philosophy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for teaching and working with children.

Working Conditions:
- Full-time or part-time positions available.
- Working in a classroom setting with children aged 7-9 or to 9-10 years old.
- Requires some physical activity, including lifting, bending, and sitting on the floor.

Reports To:
- School Director

- Competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
