Description
As a Montessori Lead Teacher, you will be the primary guide for a classroom of Toddler (18-36 months) students, responsible for creating a prepared environment, implementing the Montessori curriculum, and fostering a positive and engaging learning experience. You will also serve as a Montessori advocate and leader for our teaching team, ensuring high-quality instruction and a consistent Montessori approach.
Qualifications
* Montessori Teacher Credential or willingness to complete training within (required)
* Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (preferred)
* Proven experience as a Montessori teacher
* Strong understanding of child development and learning principles
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
* Passion for the Montessori philosophy and a commitment to creating a positive learning , collaborative environment
Responsibilities
Montessori Expertise:
* Thoroughly understand and implement the Montessori philosophy and curriculum.
* Prepare and maintain a well-organized, aesthetically pleasing, and child-centered learning environment.
* Guide students in selecting and using Montessori materials, fostering independence and self-directed learning.
* Observe, assess, and document student progress, tailoring instruction to individual needs.
* Collaborate with parents and other staff members to support student development.
Leadership & Mentorship:
* Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide policies and procedures.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
* Maintain open and effective communication with parents and the school administration.
Classroom Management:
* Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
* Maintain a positive and respectful classroom culture.
* Model appropriate behavior and social skills for students.
