Position Description:
Montessori Lead Teacher – Part Time Primary and Full Time Lower Elementary & Upper Elementary starting August 5th – In addition to the core qualifications, each individual must be a
strong, clear communicator, adapt well to change, show flexibility, welcome collaboration, keep organized, current, and complete records, and have knowledge of Colorado Content Standards and Montessori lessons designed to engage students in learning these skills. This person truly loves working with children, and is committed to helping them build a solid educational foundation, develop strong social and emotional competency, and inspiring a life-long love of learning. Core Requirments for Teaching Positions:
• Bachelor’s Degree • Montessori Credential from MACTE-Accredited Program (or currently enrolled) • Passing score on appropriate PLACE or Praxis II exam as required by the Colorado Depart- ment of Education • Colorado Shines PDIS Level III or higher (required for Early Childhood teachers only) • 3 Years Experience as a Lead Teacher Preferred
Successful candidates will bring an understanding of the relationship between curriculum, instruction, and assessment in supporting student achievement, and demonstrate comfort and competence in utilizing technology to enhance student learning.
