Head of School

Khalsa Montessori School, founded in 1976 in Tucson, Arizona, is in search of an experienced Head of School to inspire and guide this unique learning community.

We are a non-profit that offers a tuition-funded private early childhood program for infants, toddlers and primary, and a publicly-funded K-8 charter school.

The school serves 350 students and is committed to Montessori in the public sector, peace education, diversity, building community, and supporting wellness with an emphasis on social-emotional learning, mindfulness and a healthy, vegetarian diet.

Tucson is a perfect setting for anyone who loves the outdoors, a moderate climate, and Southwestern culture. Situated in the lush Sonoran Desert with its dense population of plant and animal life, including the giant saguaro cactus, Tucson is surrounded by mountains that offer scenic canyons, pine forests and trails for biking and hiking.
