English-speaking AMI Primary trained teacher- Three month Maternity Leave

Ms. Lam Montessori, a Mandarin-English Montessori school, seeking a fluent English speaker to begin January 2027, for a three months maternity leave. As a Mandarin immersion school your responsibility is to offer rigorous and engaging English lessons in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. 

Must have qualifications, attributes and skills: 

• Fluent written and spoken English 
• Engaging lessons to help support the child’s interest in reading, writing, and cultural studies 
• Tailor lessons to the needs of individual children while offering interesting small and large group lessons. 
• Act as a team player committed to professional and personal growth 
• Own setting standards for children’s progress 
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to get up and down from the floor and stools. 

Exceptional Candidates have the above and: 

• An AMI Primary 3-6 diploma or the desire to pursue training
• NY State Teacher Certification or the ability to complete certification
