Candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be willing to partner with parents and collaborate with a dedicated educational team to provide a nurturing authentic Montessori Elementary program. Candidates should also hold a certification in Montessori Elementary Instruction. Experienced applicants preferred, but recent graduates seeking mentorship are welcome!
Under the supervision of and reporting directly to the Director of Education, the Elementary teacher will be responsible for consistently meeting Montessori Teacher responsibilities. Ability to guide/direct, monitor, and supervise elementary age (6-12) group of students utilizing prescribed Montessori training and techniques. The Elementary Teacher will be responsible for presenting the elementary curriculum to students, participating in parent education and conferences, record-keeping, and assessment. Must have the ability to adapt to the needs of the students and the community. Maintain and foster positive and constructive interaction with students and parents. Ensure and assist with maintaining a safe and clean environment. Assist with other duties as needed: may include food preparation, van chauffeuring, responding to parent questions. Participates in special events, day trips, going-outs, and overnight trips.
