Lebanon, NJ is conveniently located near Clinton, Flemington, and the greater Somerset/Hunterdon County area, offering a high quality of life with access to NYC and Philadelphia corridors.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Elementary Montessori Teacher (6–12) at Acorn Montessori School in Lebanon, NJ. The Elementary Montessori Teacher will co-lead a mixed-age community of 6-12 year old elementary students using authentic Montessori principles and practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing Montessori-aligned lessons and work plans for children ages 6–12
- Maintaining a prepared classroom environment that promotes independence, concentration, and collaboration
- Observing students regularly and using those observations to inform instruction and individual guidance
- Supporting students’ social and emotional development and fostering a respectful, inclusive classroom culture
- Communicating regularly and thoughtfully with parents/guardians about student progress and classroom life
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure continuity and alignment across program levels and the school community
Qualifications
Qualifications
American Montessori Society (AMS) affiliated, MACTE Elementary certification for the full 6–12 level is required Please note: credentials limited to only 6–9 or only 9–12 do not eet this requirement.
Solid understanding of Montessori philosophy and practice at the elementary level
Experience planning and delivering developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based lessons
Strong classroom management skills rooted in respect, grace and courtesy, and student independence
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
Commitment to building a warm, inclusive, and collaborative classroom community
Enthusiasm for ongoing professional growth and participation in the life of the schoo
