English Montessori School is the only school in the South of Poland to offer a Montessori bilingual English/Polish learning programme together with an English native speaker teacher in every group.

We are looking for a loving and emotionally mature Montessori guide for one of our primary classrooms (3-6 year olds) for the new school year to work in co-operation with a Montessori trained Polish lead teacher.  The native speaker Montessori guide is in particular responsible for focusing on the children’s English language development.  Most of our children are from Polish families and are in a bilingual programme and we also have children from international families who follow a fully English language programme.

Our school is currently in its 5th year of operation.  We run two primary classrooms, a lower and upper elementary classroom and we will be opening a new lower elementary classroom in September 2019.

Benefits include: a good local salary, a travel allowance to cover the cost of a flight to Poland at the start of the contract, assistance with finding suitable accommodation, 26 paid holiday days and 8 additional public holiday days.  Two to three weeks of holiday leave can be taken during the summer holiday period to allow time to travel around Poland and neighbouring countries.

We are based in Katowice, the capital city of the Upper Silesia region in the South of Poland.  Katowice is a dynamic and thriving city with a wealth of cultural and sporting events.  It is a great base from which to explore central Europe with direct train links to 6 European capitals: Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest.  There are mountain ranges to the South for hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.

For a teacher perspective on our school and living in Katowice, you can contact us on +48 603 425 204 and Jordan, our upper elementary native speaker teacher from the UK, can give you more information.  Feel free to get in touch!

Start date: Spring 2019
